Billy's music career began by using the band that he formed by using his brother Michael while growing up around Las Vegas. A b& was known as Lodgic, in which he played bass & sung when Michael played keyboards and sang, as well. A b& too involved Guy Allisin in keyboards besides, Jimmy Haun in guitar, and Gary Starns on drums. It finally moved a band to Los Angeles in 1980. When several years of trying to acquire items together, it recorded their debut album "Nomadic Sands" which was freed around 1986. Such as Trevor Horn before him, Billy wwhen uncomfortable sustaining a idea of replacing Anderson as a figurehead of Yes. However he struck higher a friendly relationship by having Squire that would lead to working by owning him throughout the next Ten years.

In a period of a hiatus of Yes, Squire conjointly a Chris Squire Experiment, with Billy when the lead singer when swimming occasionally guitar & keyboards. So he would make, engineer, & mix a few tracks in Yes' "Union" album. These were songs that Billy wrote sustaining Chris & he possibly performed in. He so would last in to record A task known as a Key by having guitar player Marty Walsh & drummer Hugh Meign, though it would non release the album until 1997.

His talent behind a board led him to act by owning Motörhead, Dangerous Toys, and Paul Rodgers formerly of Bad Company as producer and engineer. Fallowing Billy would begin putting into a works a third album by Globe Trade, however the band would fall apart. He would late apply very much of that lesson when his debut solo album "The Big Peace", freed inside 1999.
